Hi Ahbufamily !

Please visit the forum as I have started a quiz in the forum which i will post a total of 8 questions. Share my weekend dinner experience..

Went to this restuarant( din note the name).. it sells western food. They were having a promotion for UOB card. One for one main course.

So we decide to makan there.. i ordered Lamb Chop.. DHS order spaghatti.. we ordered a side dish deep fried potato wrapped prawn.

The side dish was very nice.. The main course was damn problematic.

First, dhs spaghatti was very spicy..way too spicy.. u'll find out y in a while.

Next, my lamb chop was too raw. damn raw i cun chew la.. so i asked for a change.. they redo a new one for me.. and added extra piece.. hhaha..the first plate(too raw) was 3 pieces. Then the new one was 4 piece.. in the end i ate 3 nia.. haha

Then as a form of apology, the lady boss gave us a piece of blueberry white chocolate mousse cake on the house.

After the dinner we went for IT show, and dhs soon developed a stomachache.. haha.. that y the main course damn problematic. but their side dish and the cake was really not bad.. so i think there if u not having full meal is not bad choice still coz the ambience is really not bad. haha.

CNY Gathering

Hey my Ah Bu family...why is this blog dying? lol! So anyway, xiaomei is here to make this blog alive! haha! Wass up next? Well,like the title of the post says, haha! Yeah, we shall gather during CNY for steamboat at Ruiyu's house, and we can play cards,mahjong, all sorts of crazy things. Maybe can go around each other house to bai nian? What u gals think? haha! Think we never really done that b4...Guess it would be really fun...

So anyway, told some of you that i asked Ryan abt redang trip or even tioman or langkawi etc... just like we had always planned. Though me and him just friends now, asked him if he still on and if he mind, he says its ok cause friends mah. So would like to ask u all what u all think? Think of a month and let me know but not May and July. How about June? it's time for me to clear my block leave. Would hope to travel with u all this year for once at least. Would be great. Do let me know your opinions by tagging or watsoever =)

Hi girls...

Heres a meaningful story about giving for u all to read... enjoy... ^-^

He almost didn't see the old lady, stranded on the side of the road.

But even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her. Even with the smile on his face, she was worried. No one had stopped to help for the last hour or so... was he going to hurt her? He didn't look safe; he looked poor and hungry.

He could see that she was frightened, standing out there in the cold. He knew how she felt. It was that chill which only fear can put in you. He said, "I'm here to help you, ma'am. Why don't you wait in the car where it's warm? By the way, my name is Bryan."

Well, all she had was a flat tire, but for an old lady, that was bad enough. Bryan crawled under the car looking for a place to put the jack, skinning his knuckles a time or two. Soon he was able to change the tire. But he had to get dirty and his hands hurt.

As he was tightening up the lug nuts, she rolled down the window and began to talk to him. She told him that she was from St. Louis and was only just passing through. She couldn't thank him enough for coming to her aid. Bryan just smiled as he closed her trunk. She asked him how much she owed him. Any amount would have been all right with her. She already imagined all the awful things that could have happened had he not stopped.

Bryan never thought twice about being paid. This was not a job to him. This was helping someone in need, and God knows there were plenty who had given him a hand in the past. He had lived his whole life that way, and it never occurred to him to act any other way. He told her that if she really wanted to pay him back, the next time she saw someone who needed help, she could give that person the assistance they needed, and Bryan added, "And think of me."

He waited until she started her car and drove off. It had been a cold and depressing day, but he felt good as he headed for home, disappearing into the twilight.

A few miles down the road the lady saw a small cafe. She went in to grab a bite to eat, and take the chill off before she made the last leg of her trip home. It was a dingy looking restaurant. Outside were two old gas pumps. The whole scene was unfamiliar to her. The cash register was like the telephone of an out-of-work actor -- it didn't ring much.

The waitress came over and brought a clean towel to wipe her wet hair. She had a sweet smile, one that even being on her feet for the whole day couldn't erase. The lady noticed the waitress was nearly eight months pregnant, but she never let the strain and aches change her attitude. The old lady wondered how someone who had so little could be so giving to a stranger. Then she remembered Bryan.

After the lady finished her meal, and the waitress went to get change for her hundred dollar bill, the lady slipped right out the door. She was gone by the time the waitress came back. The waitress wondered where the lady could be. Then she noticed something written on the napkin under which were four $100 bills.There were tears in her eyes when she read what the lady wrote: "You don't owe me anything. I have been there too. Somebody once helped me out, the way I'm helping you. If you really want to pay me back, here is what you do: Do not let this chain of love end with you."

Well, there were tables to clear, sugar bowls to fill, and people to serve, but the waitress made it through another day. That night when she got home from work and climbed into bed, she was thinking about the money and what the lady had written. How could the lady have known how much she and her husband needed it? With the baby due next month, it was going to be hard.

She knew how worried her husband was, and as he lay sleeping next to her, she gave him a soft kiss and whispered soft and low, "Everything's gonna be all right. I love you, Bryan."

gals, shall we discuss about christmas gathering? Let's fix a date so that we can plan other acitivties ya.. we have a few dates which we can choose to celebrate. guess most of us will prefer sat night so the dates are as follows:

-8 dec
-15 dec
-22 dec
-24 dec

what i suggest is that we could celebrate once earlier when our dear meiyi is still in sg and then on the 24th which is christmas eve, we could go clubbing or somewhere nice to celebrate and enjoy the occasion.

the plan for this gathering would be a nice dinner and gift exchange of cos. most importantly is to set the date and then we'll decide the other details. do pour your ideas and suggestions ya. looking forward for this gathering^^

3 guys were walking along some HDB blocks. They stopped upon seeing something on the floor.. The first guy bent down, examined it, and finally said, "Looks like shit". The second guy then put his nose near that thing, smelt it, and said, "Smells like shit". The third guy, upon hearing what the both said, stretched out his finger, scooped a small portion of that thing, and tasted it. He then said, "Taste like shit".

Together in unison, they heaved a sigh of relief and said, "Heng we didn't step on it!"

ya.. saturday was indeed fun and enjoyable celebrating sharon's bday at her hse. it was cozy and very homely feel. had fun laughing in the room when looking at the photos of our cute sharon who look like a japanese doll when she was young..haha... white white de no wonder call snowgal =.="

shing left quite early ard 12 plus to her bf hse to sleep (really slp ar or doing smth else?_?). sf was not feeling well so she rested on bed and meiyi played her nanny looking after her ?? wad were u two doing in the room all the while when we were outside playing games ar? haha.. ya played monopoly for hours till sian and cant wait to be bankrupt in order to end the game. after that played guessing game which made cia, sw n me drink till seh... the lucky sharon escape sia.. played till ard 4am den rest a while. i left sharon hse at 4.30am. haha i vomited lo..in the toilet of cos..disgusting.. and from wad i know the rest left the next morning =)

the best bday celebration of the year 2007 goes to sharon's bday celebration. CHEERS!!!

hmm.. nobody post abt it ar.. i shall briefly report wad happen ba...

well, sat went to celebrate felicia's bday at the mind cafe. it was my first time there as well. first impression of the place is 'wow! so noisy!' the place not very big also and the 10 of us had to squeeze around the two tables. wondering who are the 10 of us? they are me, shing, meiyi, cf, sw, sharon, feli, rj, hs and ct =) after much discussion, we decided to take the package for 6 pax and order extra drinks. i ordered extra hawaiian pizza cos haven had dinner. the pizza taste like biscuit leh =( the package include some snacks and 2 hours of boardgames. haha... 2 hours passed very fast hor.. manage to play 'life', 'master mind' and about to start the game about apples when the waiter told us that out 2 hours is up. we left the place ard 11.30pm and all looked so tired. so we decided to go home. managed to catch the last train back.
